So what is the difference between "marriage" and "civil union", other than the different words used to describe them? I believe most people are complaining about the fact that the Left (including liberal homosexuals) are tyring to redefine a term that has been used for centuries with a particular meaning. A lot of things had a particular meaning for centuries such as slavery, segregation, women's suffrage etc.; that did not make them right. Besides, what skin is it off your back what two consenting people do......as long as it doesn't implicate you in any way, you need to keep your nose out of other people's business and keep in your own. That's the problem with Republicans.....always whizzing and moaning about what others are doing. Apparently, you all only have sex for procreation; for the rest of us, its for recreation and lovemaking as well. So back off! And for the record, I believe conservative gay Republicans refused to endorse Bush over this issue.
