Spent another 8 hrs playing bridge last night. Had a chance
to see how deep the Yahoo programmers have gone in writing
the software. Here is a screen shot I made which shows how
the Java windows provide a real time playing environment
better than that of the face to face game.

pw1.netcom.com

Communication is instantaneous. My partner for most
of the night was playing from Mexico City.

I'm beginning to see how the post-Microsoft era is playing
out. All the tools used to develop and use this application
were non-Microsoft. I also suspect that the Yahoo programmers
have a pretty big productivity advantage over anyone using
Microsoft's outdated technology.

It's just a matter of time that applications like this
incorporate the programs that microsoft has been selling.

www.database.com
www.textedit.com

and maybe even

www.compiler.com
