Our old friend Thomas Reardon was briefly on the witness list, he was at the meeting they say, but that only lasted a day. Some VP pulled rank on him or something.

I don't know why they pulled him.

Maybe Microsoft got scared because DOJ got wind of some of his postings on this thread, like the one about programmers using Java being "limited to a multiplatform environment". ;) Or maybe they heard about the posts where he and Carlos explained to us ad nauseam all the reasons why Microsoft should not sell its browsers, but had to continue giving them away. Those would sure make for interesting reading, knowing what we know now.

Too bad back then we didn't know that he was at "ground zero." It would have made things here a lot more fun. ;)
