Xicor Announces A New Member on its Board of Directors
MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 1999--XICOR, Inc. (NASDAQ: XICO - news) today announced the appointment of Geoffrey C. Winkler to its board of directors, as an independent outside director. He replaces S. Allan Kline who retired from the board. Mr. Winkler is president of Palomar Enterprises, a consulting company focused on enhancing organizational effectiveness and mentoring of executives.
Winkler, 69, has been associated with technology companies throughout his career in the areas of engineering, marketing, sales and management in the semiconductor, microwave, automotive and food industries. Winkler has a B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from Luton University in the United Kingdom and an MBA from Santa Clara University. In addition, he has extensive international experience.
