Ramsey, WIND / INTS / MWAR all rose substantially last year on wave of interest in embedded systems. Then last fall the market began to discriminate among them more closely based on earnings and the insights of Allen Benn. In my opinion their market action remains de-coupled for the time being.

INTS may be perceived as a value play, and benefits from current strength of small cap sector. I see three possible explanations for WIND's current weakness:

1) WIND may have gotten a little ahead of itself due to the hoopla surrounding the Mars Pathfinder Mission.

2) "They" may be "working" WIND down a little this week to pick up cheap shares before next week's ESC. (It had a nice little dip last year the week before ESC.)

3) Shorts could be having a real go at it. Personally, I think there's been a lot of better short candidates in recent months, such as Ascend and Rambus.

If we don't get enough news out of ESC to set a new high, then perhaps we'll see it later this year when earnings projections for next year firm up.
