Being a displaced city kid I question whether cab hailing and making reservations are skills. But I understand a certain instinct is required for navigation and survival. Is "hinctey" knowing which neighborhoods you should put your cash in your sock? BTW, we watched "They Travel by Night" the other day, one of my favorite noir movies. It got us to wondering whatever happened to Farley Granger. It seems he was all over the place in the 40s and 50s, then he suddenly vanishes. Do you know what became of him? My favorite line in "They Travel by Night" is when Farley Granger's girlfriend informs him she is pregnant, he responds by saying, "He'll just have to take his chances."
