Tejek, if you want to be politically correct, I can understand that given all the pressures in today's world to be that way. But political correctness also involves being unbiased. So why don't you balance your statements with grief for both sides of this equation, the poor young terrorists and the innocent Iraqis and aid workers who get caught in the middle. At least that would make you more credible. But open bias in favor of terrorists is silly at best, sick at worst.

Of course, all the Iraqis are in a nightmare. I am sure none of them thought they would be in this mess over a year after we had started the war. To see a university student having to carry a AK-47 to class is very disturbing. However, too many of her friends have raped or assaulted.

As for the guys who have picked up a gun and are fighting.........they think they are fighting for a just cause.......their freedom. You ask me to empathize with the good Iraqis.....well why don't you empathize with these teenage insurgents? They have been sold a bill of goods and believe they are fighting for Sunni freedom. And they most likely will die.

A civil war has broken out and we are participating on one of the sides. The Sunnis are afraid the Shia will castrate them.......for good reason. So that's why they fight. And the administration was told this could happen and they ignored it. So now we fight in a country's civil war.......not terrorism that we need to fear.....but the civil war of Iraq. The only good thing is that the Kurds and Shia are staying calm at the present.
