Ted:

Just to clear up the debate about Kerry being less than honorable discharged for once and for all please present me with an explanation of the facts about Kerry that complies with Occam's Razor.

The principle states that one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.

Lt. Kerry carried a Secret Clearance. The Navy could not permit that to continue after they learned of his treasonous activities. It has been claimed that all Naval officers have to have a Secret Clearance. The fastest way to fix it is to give him a General Discharge (no court marshal required). He attended no Reserve training sessions in 1971 or 1972 which he would have been required to if he had not been discharged. General Discharge strips all rights and honors from the person. Why did Kerry get his medals and ribbons restored in 1985 after joining the Senate? Why did a council of Officers review his discharge in 1978? Why was his discharge status again changed in March 2001?

Kerry enlist 1966 - discharge due 1972
1978 "Honorable Discharge from the Reserves" accompanying letter refers to Title 10, U.S. Code Section 1162 and 1163. This section refers to the grounds for involuntary separation from the service.
Kerry has never responded to questions about being less than honorably discharged for the military. NEVER.
Kerry surveiled by FBI 1970 to 1972.
Kerry served on active duty until January 3, 1970.
Kerry violated code of military ethics in May 1970 by meeting with the enemy.
Kerry violated code of military ethics in July 1971 by serving in the Vietnam Veterans Against the War.
Kerry violated code of military ethics in July 1971 by demonstrating in Washington.
Kerry lied under oath to the Senate on April 23, 1971.
Kerry obligated to serve 6 years under his Universal service Contract.
Must transfer to Reserves upon release from Active Duty.
Kerry did not drill as required to maintain status as Reserve.
Nixon Administration appeared to be concerned about Kerry’s anti-war activities - they would have demanded something be done by the military.
Naval discharge certificates are only issued when they are honorable. Kerry offers none form 1972.

Occam's razor says cut off the fat. He got a General Discharge.

Now doesn't it feel better to admit what you already knew? Denial can be very painful.
