After the close Cisco reported earnings, before charges, of $0.59, one cent above estimates... Company also announced a 3-for-2 stock split... Should result in relief rally as investors feared the worst after Newbridge Network's earnings warning... Ascend CFO noted that company expects to meet FY98 earnings estimates... But stock fell in concert with rest of the group..From briefing.com
