It's a story of a girl slave who got selected by a Sultan Or such, and contrived a delay by telling him a yarn, and contriving to finish off without the exciting conclusion,(IN THOSE DAYS THE HEADACHE EXCUSE WASN'T ACCEPTED, PARTICULARLY IN THE HAREM) and nipped off sharpish to bed alone. The next day the same thing and the next and the next for a total of 1001 nights. That's the name of the music. 1001 Nights.
Beatiful music. I'll never forget it because in my high school days BT (before television) it was used as the signature tune for a radio private eye program on the BBC (no typo) The name of the show was Kim Peacock and I'm back at about 1943 or so.

The good news is "HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN"
