Lol. Wouldn't surprise me if that were true. Developers/programmers often "fail upward" too and get hired somewhere else for more money after being on a team that pushed a failed product out.

I worked with a guy once (the internal buyer for the company) that was a pain for management to work with and had his own ideas about how to run things. He finally quit in disgust, but basically told his manager, "If you even think about giving me a bad reference or for this job if anyone calls you about me, I'll sue this company into the ground."

They knew he meant it too, and as far as I know, he had no trouble finding a job somewhere else where he could abuse management to his heart's content.
