Maybe you should have chosen nationalism instead of socialism, only time will tell. I doubt you are anywhere near self sufficient in food production and I know you don't have much in the way of energy resources. Seems to me as a small and remote island nation you had some unique advantages which you let slip away, but what do I know, for I have never been there. I have been to Oz, however. But like I said, only time will tell.

You economy will only remain "stable and mixed" if the world situation remains "stable" and I believe this is unlikely.

And as you have given away your capacity to defend yourselves you will have whatever system your rulers impose upon you. You can hope, of course.
