Hi slwc,

Thanks a lot for your help on split and earnings!

Congrats for not being hurt by this crash! Either you must have gone to cash competely or your other stocks are doing pretty well.

As for European markets, yes if you got your other picks there, they are not hurt so far. But the DAX and NEMAX in Germany should come down soon after those newbies find out what a possible bear market is.

Dunno about the Belgian market..

A friend of mine knows some freak who signed the IPO of T-Online from Deutsche telecom and was telling everybody last week that he would for sure have a doubler tomorrow and already planned to finance a new Mercedes with it...with this kinda foolish mentality of new shareholders the crash will happen with a delay...
;-)

>>. i haven't seen a panic swing yet this week. <<

Itïs just psychology. When the naz is loosing blood like 35% over the last weeks people may still have hope left every day so that they donït bail. Falling 20% one day there would be panic. Just because the Naz is tanking in steps people donït seem to get what they already have lost...
LOL

<Is the crash depressing the people in the street in the us ? is it hitting the average consumer ? more margin calls ahead ?<
Like you Iïm in Europe but I have specialized myself in trading stricly US stocks, and I know that good friends have lost a fortune so far...the thought of the Naz sliding further isnït that nice, if you are already down 50% on some good stocks...

<<there is no reason to believe in a full collapse scenario with already a lot of cash by the sidelines eagerly waiting to get back in at what it guesses to be the rockbottom.<<

Actually everybody suddenly starts to tell they are out of the market with a lot of cash, but I donït believe this. Maybe people bailed during the last days, yes. But Iïm highly sceptical about those people who always say in hinsight that they saw this slide and bailed..
2900 till Tuesday, and believe me I hope Iïm wrong..
;-)

Good luck,

Juan
