One reason for AMLN going down so much is Marsico Capital Mgmt dumped 15.xx million shares. They held 16.1 million shares of Amylin as of 6/30/08 and they are now down to 205,162 sh.

They have lost tons of money in LVS, and maybe a lot of other stocks, so have to dump some of their large position to meet the margin call

That said, AMLN management suxs big time. Hopefully, this time the restructuring can lay off some of their useless VPs and/or board directors. They have more than two dozens of them. and multiply that by 6-7 figures of salary for each, you got the idea why the company lost money like there is NO tomorrow.

Yes, they have some good product with big potentials, but the incompetency of the current management is beyond imagination.

The share price may not be going anywhere until the management gets their act together
