Ask any Turkish Muslim about your idea that they would prefer a theocratic government which implements Sharia law over a democratic government that respects Islamic principles. They voted for the latter and the proof is that Turkey is the most successful Muslim democracy.

Again your ignorance is showing. If you asked any Turkish Muslim whether they want to live under Sharia law, or a democratic government which may impose laws which run against Sharia and you are going to get a large percentage which choose the former. It may not be >50%, but it will definitely be greater than 33% (I think).

Anyway, my point was about the Muslims in the ME.
