Innovative Technology Enters Aggressive Marketing Stage

First American Scientific Corporation is moving it?s KDS Micronex Reduction System into an aggressive marketing program designed to position the equipment and technology as market leader and innovator in the materials reduction, waste management and recycling industries.

The KDS Micronex equipment employs patented kinetic disintegration technology to reduce input materials, ranging from bio-solid wastes or sludge to gold bearing quartz, into a fine talcum-like powder, quickly, efficiently and economically. Input materials with a moisture content of 75% or less will be reduced to a consistent end-product graded to 300 mesh with a moisture content of less than 10%, without the need for external dryers or processors.

The KDS Micronex is the product of more than four years of field-testing and practical applications in the United States, Canada and Ireland. The Irish government awarded the technology the "Radian" award for excellence in research and development between Ireland and North America and has provided matching funding for a yearlong development and testing program, which has involved two Irish universities. Test results and reporting from the Irish participants is expected in the first quarter of 2000.

The KDS Micronex has a proven track record in the processing of many industrial minerals for production of fertilizers and soil remediation products including gypsum, limestone, sulphur potassium blends and dolomites. It has also proven effective in the processing of wet wood chips for the production of a dry powdered end product exhibiting consistent characteristics throughout.

The markets for the product and the patented
technology are extensive and include:

Bio-solid waste reduction and processing for
cost effective transport and fertilizer production

Extraction of precious metals (gold) from minerals (quartz)

Animal waste reduction and recycling (Cattle, swine and fowl) for transport efficiencies and fertilizer production

Wood chip reduction for particleboard, woodcrete and power cogeneration

Drywall (wallboard) waste recycling and reduction
for soil remediation and new board production

Glass reduction and recycling for new product

Industrial minerals reduction and processing
for fertilizers and soil remediation

Rubber tire recycling and reprocessing for
injection mould and new tire products

Rigid plastics (computer boards) recycling
for new product metals recovery

The new management and operating personnel at First American have exhibited a commitment to producing a world-class company with significant growth potential and long-term viability. Plans for a waste-management pilot plant near Vancouver, British Columbia have been revitalized and the location is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2000. Utilizing Internet-based, on-line video camera capabilities, this location will serve as a worldwide testing and demonstration facility for waste management professionals from a variety of disciplines

First American Scientific Corporation intends to capitalize on the effectiveness of The KDS Micxronex Reduction System through a series of licensing arrangements, direct equipment sales and co-operative operational ventures, to provide a revenue stream of significant proportions.
