My point: Your comment about PhotoDelux continues to reinforce my belief that Adobe (and others as well) see the writing on the wall. That Apple's share of the graphics market continues to diminish.

Or that saturation levels for desktop publishing apps are approaching. Photodeluxe is a consumer level app with rather annoying idiot proofing - for the consumer market - not the graphics market. It's becoming clear that with Adobe's red flag quarter of recent, and shaving of platform specific ports within the product line, that growth is becoming a serious issue for Adobe. In the pro-line there seems to be an absurd speed to upgrade their major apps (Illustrator 6-8, Photoshop 4,5) which leads me to believe that they're focussed on upgrade income rather than any inherent advantages for their users.

K2 could ne a Quark threat, but they'll have to go a long way to breaking the traditional links between designers and service bureaus. Pagemaker has improved in leaps and bounds since about version 4.0, but the scars of versions past have not yet healed, and that industry is moving too fast now to start monkeying with it. Me thinks they're going to have to spend big promotional bucks via the loss leader competitive upgrade and trying to make Xtension users happy by creating equivalent functionality. Hope their pockets are really deep...
