Vodafone Launches European Single Tariff Mobile Service
LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Vodafone Group PLC (VOD) said Tuesday it has introduced Eurocall, a new service aimed at simplifying the use of mobile telephones for 70 million mobile customers across Europe.
Vodafone said customers using Eurocall will be charged a single rate when making and receiving calls within Europe on any Vodafone partner network in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden or the U.K.
Vodafone said the service, which will operate a single rate charge of EUR80 per minute, will become operational in each of the countries by March.
