Dow Jones Newswires -- July 30, 1997 Hitachi PC Ships SystemSoft Software With VisionBook Plus NATICK, Mass. (Dow Jones)--Hitachi PC Corp. began shipping SystemSoft Corp.'s (SYSF) MobilePro modular software suite with its VisionBook Plus notebook family, SystemSoft said Wednesday. By incorporating SystemSoft's MobilePro into Hitachi's VisionBook Plus, the notebooks will support the latest Intel Pentium processors with MMX technology. They will also have the ability to interchange a CD-ROM or floppy drive within the same drive bay, the company said. The notebooks will include advanced power management and smart battery support for maximum battery life, and they will have Microsoft Hardware Design Guide "PC 97" level support, SystemSoft said. SystemSoft Corp. (SYSF) provides system-level software, connectivity and problem-resolution technologies. Hitachi PC Corp. is a unit of Hitachi Ltd. (HIT), a Tokyo-based electronics company.
