| | | Did you know that if you are a gay teen, petting a horse could make you straight?
Well, at least this is true according to the Southern Baptist-affiliated Cowb oy Church of Virginia. First, they came up with "Pray Away the Gay" and now they have moved onto "Neigh Away the Gay."
This bizarre technique is the latest quackery coming out of the "ex-gay" industry. It is hysterically funny - until you consider that real LGBT youth are forced into such boot camps by their parents to be "cured."
Truth Wins Out is in the forefront of trying to stop such child abuse. We have had enough of the "ex-gay" industry and are working overtime to put these charlatans out of business. Please consider an end-of-year tax-deductible contribution to help us monitor and fight the "ex-gay" myth.
It has been a watershed year for Truth Wins Out. Here are just a few of our accomplishments:
- Teamed up with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) on a national education tour. The result was a landmark lawsuit against Jews Offering New Alternatives to Homosexuality."
- Exclusive TWO video featuring Dr. Robert Spitzer, who renounced his infamous study supporting "ex-gay" therapy
- Special investigation showing that "ex-gay" poster boy John Paulk is a hypocrite who is frequenting gay strip bars in Portland
- TWO traveled to Sacramento to help protest and speak out against the Restored Hope Network, a radical new offshoot of Exodus International
- Media Advocacy: TWO appeared on the Rachel Maddow Show, The O'Reilly
Factor, MSNBC News with Thomas Roberts, Viewpoint with Eliot Spitzer, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, the Associated Press and in five New York Times stories. - Daily monitoring of "ex-gay" organizations and key research that is critical to banning "ex-gay" therapy for minors across the nation
To make 2013 even more successful than 2012, we need your help. Please make a generous tax-deductible gift today. Consider a contribution of $15, $25, or $100. If you can give $1,000 or more, now is the time to do so, before the end of the year.
We are fighting these charlatans every day, but we need the resources to effectively do so. Our goal is to ensure "Going Out of Business" signs are on the doors of reparative therapy clinics across America.
Will you stand with us?
