It is the coding systems and processing of a prescription for the manufacture of molecular machinery which distinguishes biology, or living systems, from complex organic chemistry - nothing else in the natural world resembles information-based systems producing machinery in nature.

Although scientists are yet to discover how life originated, the process of self-replication which occurred in the first life would require some form of control mechanism – this implies the presence of a processing unit or “hardware” and a prescription or “software” which steered events towards computational success. the question stubbornly remains: what series of events in a prebiotic environment could have organised integrated circuitry, embedded digital information and a processing unit into a highly-optimised three-dimensional self-replicating structure for the first Sustained Functional System?

It isn't an argument from ignorance that prevents many from refusing to believe the Darwin dogma but instead it is due to the fact that there is no credible scientific or logical reason to deny that life was programmed into existence. Which plausible theoretical mechanism can explain how the initial source code of life was created and prescribed for integrated metabolic function? Every code and information system starts out as a series of abstract ideas before they are manifested into physical reality. The fact is, the origin of the initial source code (DNA, RNA or whatever that initial code may have been) required physical symbol vehicles...it required for these individual letters to be arranged into a "word" and the words in to "sentences" to form an algorithm - in order for this newly formed algorithm to be processed, it would require appropriate hardware. Presumably this first algorithm was involved in replication in order for life to continue. Why does an inanimate environment create symbols, arrange "words" into an instruction set and then process it to produce an output? How an inanimate environment and various chemicals produced a complex self-replicating system which gave birth to life is still a great mystery and there is no standard model on how life began - for obvious reasons
