You don't remember accusations against Russia that the reason they didn't support the war in Iraq was because they'd been bribed?

Though it might not have been the only reason, the bribery is a proven fact.

And what an idiot Hans Blix and the rest of the UN inspection teams were because they believed Saddam that there were no WMD?
