The founders reflected the religious attitudes of the 18thC, post the era of protestant reformation. They didn't eliminate relgion, or the mention of relgious sentiment in gov settings, rather they emphasized the updated policy of separation of church & state in America's institutions & official documents. You insist they completely eliminated all religious expression in their lives, and that's simply not true.
