Hey, LA is great...SW airlines goes nonstop from Austin now, to LAX, we were there last summer for two weeks...took the kids to Disney, then drove, slowly, up Hwy.1 to visit friends in SF and went to Napa... I love to visit CA, but think Austin is an ideal place to live....(and party... someday? Maybe a ranch party...) I know I am in CA when I order iced tea, and I get a $5 bottle of "Microbrewed Tea...we take only the top two leaves from each individually selected plant, and..." I have not tired of telling that story yet... <ggg> Kathy
