Yes, the 'US Government' has title to many things... such as the federal buildings it does it business in, etc.

However, such things as the National Parks, Outer Continental Shelf areas, what natural resources may underlie ANWR, the Public Airwaves, etc., etc., --- anything and everything that is LEGALLY REGARDED as "American Public Property" is owned by the AMERICAN NATION, and merely held-in-trust for, or administered on behalf of, the American People by their legal representatives in the government.

CASE-IN-POINT: Just who 'owns' the Public Airwaves?

(You say: 'the government'. OK, if so, what part of 'the government' holds TITLE and OWNERSHIP? The Administrative branch? The Federal Courts? The Legislative Branch? If 'the government' did have legal ownership, then this would precisely be able to be answered. No. Fiduciary responsibility is exerted by the government on behalf of the American Nation. 'Ownership' is AMERICA's.)
