I just wanted to say this is my first post ever to SI. Been reading posts for several months and couldn't hold back anylonger.

I'm long in Ascend and don't really know that anyone knows where this is headed. I agree with the conventional wisdom that the ultimate long term trend of the stock market is up. Whether that holds up for individual issues such as Ascend remains to be seen. It seems from reading these posts that the sentiments change as readily as the weather, on an up day things seem to get rosy and on down days Ascend is the worst stock ever. All I know is that after doing some inexperienced TA is that Ascend usually only trades either up or down, it rarely holds at any value, such as 32 to 35 for more than a few days. There are no substantially long term holding values, i.e. several months as I've seen on many other stocks. It seems that when things seem to be their worst, presto the stock bounces back to regain most of it's lost value. It's chart is just peaks and valleys, no plains. I assume that this will be looked upon as just another valley in the life of Ascends trading, albeit one that brought the stock to recent new lows.

What I'd like to hear from more savy investors is this:
Is there any reason to believe that anything has fundamentally changed with this stock to bring it down to another Shiva or Fore? Or, as history shows us (standard disclaimer) can the bounce back be right around the corner?

Thanks
