But, BLS should have understood the fundamental business and ideological changes that took place when VOD bought Airtouch!

In my opinion.. When Airtouch stepped into the project.. It was doing so to promote itself as a "Nationwide carrier".. The 800 Mhz licenses were mostly divvied up!! And their chances to become a "Nationwide Network" were pretty slim.. (After all, it took a company with the financial resources of VOD to walk in and cram GTE/BAM/and ATI together to create a "Nationwide Network".. As individual companies.. They did not have the financial wherewithal to complete a union.

So now VOD walked in and said.. OK We got ATI.. and we want GTE and BAM.. What is this Globalstar thing we have? So he looked at the contracts and said.. Well, we will do what we have to via the contracts that Airtouch Satellite Services agreed too. But, that's about it!!

So I believe that BLS should have understood VOD's ideologies on the system when VOD bought ATI, and made other arrangements.
