Jim, nice to hear additional confirmation about digicam sales.

I hope your cousin's employer carries SanDisk brand flash products and not "ACME" brand.

Tonite I spent some time collating some Summer photos to make a CD for family.
I am amazed at the number of nice shots that I have assembled in the last year or so.

I think the 3.3 megapixel cameras, if combined with a nice lens, are really the sweet spot.
During my last vacation it would have been absolutely impossible to get along with just
a single 64MB card. This Christmas may see more people jumping in at 1.3 and 2.1 megapixel
resolution. And I hope they have a great experience so that they upgrade in the next year
or two. There are a lot of very affordable 2.1 megapixel cameras out there.

Yes, this is shaping up to be a big Christmas for flash memory cards. Let's hope
SNDK has found a way to capture some of these sales.

This Toshiba post about Dominion is starting to bug me. It would be great to hear
that this is purely a rumor. After all, Eli predicted earlier this year that the
available production capacity would likely be unable to meet future demand. OK, not
in 2001, but maybe in 2002 or 2003. But to hear them retreat from the Dominion fab
would be an indication that SNDK still has no handle on market demand for their chips
or that their projections for 2002 and beyond fall far short of their original
expectations. That would really hurt and it would be a terrible holiday present.
