To format a disk, you'll need the FORMAT.EXE file available.

Copy this file to the floppy you'll be using to boot with.

To restore your image from D: to C: you'll must have both Drive Image software and the image you wish to restore available.

COMMAND.COM contains the code for processing DOS commands. It is necessary to boot your system. It will NOT restore an image or format a disk. (Nothing else will work in DOS if it's missing.)

You may find #reply-8051423 useful.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. If you restore an image to a larger drive, you'll gain the additional room as usable, empty, disk storage.
