Thanks, but I'm skeptical of downloaded software. Some of them are sniffers and spyware. When I ran MSN 9 dialup I got no popups for over a year. I dropped that to get a cable modem. Now I'm not too happy.

I have a pop-up blocker, but it is not blocking all pop-ups. The ones it isn't blocking are the ones that offer to scan for spyware and pop-ups. They seem to know how to get around blockers, of course, so they can offer to block themselves? I don't think so. I think they just want to snoop my habits. Which is going to be extremely boring because I don't visit porn sites and such.

Like you said, they are just looking for a new sucker, but they aren't going to find one in me. I close them from my activity bar. I run system scans pretty often too.
