although, taxes and upkeep on home ownership definitely equal or exceed the costs of renting nearly everywhere in the USA short of finding obscure places that do exist. but, depending upon your age bracket and wants and needs to conveniences of various kinds... not so nice, but other wise, really nice. that being said..

there has always been a home ownership myth, being another story.
