Sam, I agree with your scenarios, but not with <<some will probably sell next week when the profits will fall into 1999.>> That is how the IRS used to do it, but now all sales are based on trade date, not settlement date. Anyone who sells next week has to take the profit for 1998.
I think Jobs is going to spin myapple.com as a real internet move. If only a million of the Mac faithful use it as their homepage, and if every iMac from now on comes with IE and Navigator automatically set there, and Apple has some advertisers or something already set up, and if Apple can show some great growth in its online store .... well, now I'm the one with the detailed BS. But it could happen. I see the MacWorld keynote as Yosemite, QT 4.0, and myapple.com. And if he says that the quarter was great too, look out for $50.
