Your inclusion of a purported quote shows that you were at the post you purport to quote. The fact that you did not supply the link when you were already there, and when you are making an accusation--demonstrates that you are rude, ignorant, and fundamentally dishonest.

The fact that you are trying to saw sawdust is evidence that you really have no ammunition to argue with.

I don't know whether your "quote" is accurate and/or whether it gives any justice to the context where it "occurred". I DO know that I did not bring Haeckel's name up--YOU DID! And I know that I would have qualified any inaccuracy or misunderstanding during that series of postings.

I was not thinking of Haeckel--nor of his theory that ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny.

Develops through "evolutionary phases of fish and reptile" (assuming those were my words) was a POOR choice of words...especially if it misdirects anyone to Haeckel and his theory. While there is information which relates to the common ancestry of all creatures (hench the development of vestigial appendages such as tails)--it does not have the linear correspondence believed by Haeckel. In other words, each stage between phyla is not reproduced in the development of the egg/embryo.
