The word from me is you can't necessarily trust things produced by the BBC. They are consciously biased.

As for why Sunni Arabs wouldn't go to Kurdistan, 1) Kurdistan is Kurdish speaking, not Arabic speaking, but more importantly, 2) Kurdistan would be unfriendly territory for Sunni Arabs who had been associated with Saddam's government, which persecuted the Kurds.
