We were in the low 40's back when our earnings prospects were 2.02 FY99. We're now sitting at 2.47, which means we could hit 50 *before* any speculative froth gets worked into the stock.

Strangely quiet tonight. I don't know if that is a good or bad sign.

At any rate. here is another chart, a 6-month daily, showing the Bollinger Bands and Williams %R.

While Apple may, in extraordinary fashion, continue up for a day or two, the chart suggests strongly a short-term top is at hand. I bought some puts today and hope to profit from the price appreciation. Longer-term, I think 50 and better is close at hand (unless the market gives up), but for now, our little ride needs to consolidate.
