Chris, IMHO, no apology necessary. I took your post as nothing more than a bearish opinion. Sometimes you'll come across a post referencing mysterious "sources", etc. etc. No such words in your post, so I say, no harm, no foul.

What should SYMC do? Here's my disgustigly biased .02...SYMC merges with Datawatch...a REVERSE merger that is. DWCH management team, having demonstrated ability to build VALUE, stays on board, Eubanks and co. leave firm with silver, not a golden, parachutes (heck, make that copper parachutes). DWCH management team now has the sales and marketing muscle it needs to sell the stuffin' out of Monarch 3.0 data mining software and Q-Support help-desk software (BTW, this is one market SYMC apparently has not even taken a cursory glance at...MCAF meanwhile acquired a help desk S/W co. few months ago), etc.

That scenario certainly makes better sense than Delrina acquisition...and yes I still own some DWCH, so all common-sense disclaimers apply.

Keith, I'm with you re losing the development tools, BTW.

Best of luck.

Mike
