Checkfree is listed by SI as an Internet Stock.
Checkfree does not make the Yahoo or published internet stock index listings.
Checkfree is listed by Lehman Bros., and Bear Stearns as an Internet Commerce Company.

Comparable analysis of some other companies these banks list are: (Don't know how they determine these) CYCH, BVSN, CKFR, CNKT, NTSP, OMKT, EDS

On the larger front.
BIG BLUE Commerce Campaign is all over- "the future of transactions"
I am much more interested in Checkfree here and new products through banks than home banking sign ups. Checkfree is the vanilla in transaction processing.

Microsoft and First Data
Lets look at who Microsoft is in bed with "First Data".

Check out this BS IPO they pulled with First Virtual Holdings- they stuck Lou Stein, former Hollywood Talent Agent to head up this small investor rip off. FVHI what a short that was!

You have a first data credit card you register with first virtual holdings and pay for an internet pin- then start shopping. They had the nerve to do an IPO on this and rake a few pension plans with a road show. No wonder Internet Commerce has ben given a bad rap. Lots of car jackers out on the information super highway- and Brooks is right most business so far has been just plain jackers.

I know I have started spending more online than ever. And a system like CKFR which w/ Reuters type deal can charge a few cents for info and make a profit will rule the waves IMHO.
