The influx of tech has been going on for decades. I guess you missed it. I suppose it is possible that Abbott had something to do with some of it, but I can't point to anything with any confidence. Certainly not the examples you chose. Samsung, for example, has had a growing presence in Richardson for a long time. Given that the Metroplex is a telecommunications hub, it makes sense.

More tech means more blue leaning workers. It is how that sector rolls and has for decades. It has displaced the MIC workers who do lean red in the Metroplex. Your fantasies notwithstanding, that isn't going to change anytime soon.
