No it's not, and I figured you knew all that. But I will tell you that RAM and CPU's, cases, and the likes certainly don't have the need for a middleman. There is "good as retail' quality all around in these kinds of items. In addition, I don't buy where they don't stand behind the goods, so I risk nothing more than if I had bought retail. And most do stand behind the items, since stores and such won't buy from wholesalers if they can't return faulty products. The only thing you lose, IMHO, is the 'buy on approval' most retail chains allow.

Just another opinion, so good luck either way.
