Yes, America and its friends need to push leaders in the Islamic world to rein in their press. No.. There just need to be consequences for slanderous and hatred filled press reports.. And there needs to be MORE freedom of the press for dissenting and moderate views, and legal repercussions for squelching them through intimidation and violence. If they wish to present hatred as their "news of the day", and the people are willing to accept that, it will make it all the easier for the West to do what's going to be required, namely a complete political, economic, and cultural change in the region.
