One of the problems of going out to the movies, and it's very unfortunate, is all the foreplay. There are commercials before things get started, then previews (with more commercials), then rules of the theatre (no smoking, yada, yada), and then finally the movie. We go very rarely but was reminded just how offputting it all is when we saw the Gore film. I use to love going to movies and did four one day in Times Square. But now I'd rather get the BBC mysteries via Netflix and/or Tivo and stay home.
