Barry, I know subscribers don't pay for themselves - heck AOL hasn't made a nickel to date, so that is fairly obvious. The ancillary revenue is the key for AOL. I haven't figured out where this is all going to lead with telcos offering as a loss leader, where the bare bones ISPs fit in, etc.

The NYSE short interest is compiled monthly ~ as of the 15th and all the financial papers publish about 5 days later. I'm sure there is some web site you could go to to get historical but I have no idea where. If worse comes to worse, you could always go down to the library, but pulling the correct day would be a real pain in the butt since it varies.
