Well, Norway got their independence from Sweden at the start of the 1900s after a little war in some
park in Oslo, two shots fired by mistake, if I remember right??

However, what they party wildly on is "In 1814, Denmark gave Norway to Sweden ", in addition
they got their own constitution. (maybe some kind of king, Haakan, obviously??)

"Sweden nearly went to war with Norway, but finally in 1905 they recognized Norway's independence. "

To really back in times

"Under Danish control Norway grew weaker, and in 1536 Denmark declared Norway a Danish Province, and made Lutheranism the official religion of Norway."

But the 190x the norwegian King Haakon (me think they are all called Haakon??) was and is popular.

This might serve some information why swedes have a problem with norwegian oil and wealth,
inbetween us scandinavians, norwegians should just eat dried cod...

On the other hand, it explains why danes, norwegians and finns have kind of a problem with
the swedes, although we think they are funny, most of the time, and we all cooperate between
us neighbors (usually to make fun of the swedes, as well as us others)

But the swedes, then including all of us norwegians and finns, had some colonies in
USA very early on, besides us, until we told them to behave.

Anyway, more seriously, Norway and foreign aid is something "special", they are outside EU,
kind of getting obese on oil and dried cod, while we others have not really kept up with the
aid goals, shame on us.

Btw,btw, it was the fact that we all have different election systems that got me to figure out
some basics long time ago..

But I somehow remember something about some Haakan tobacco??
(the Harald-Haakan cooperation with russian oil-companies is more important these days)
