When our CT forces go on the offense it is nearly always reactionary.

Going "house to house" in an Urban environment the way we and the Israelis do it results in the highest casualty rate possible for Infantry. That's because we are not willing to take out possible enemy in the buildings, THEN move in. We are too afraid of killing civilians. The ROE is the problem.

Our troops in Europe during WWII learned better. They started out going house to house. Then wised up and went though the houses, wall to wall, with explosives.

What the Israelis should have done, and we need to do, is when we are going into a situation like that, we wall it off from all media. Do the killing, then let them in.

Hizbollah knew they couldn't beat the Isrealis with a war plan, so they beat them with a media plan. They spent a lot of time bringing media through staged "victims."

From day one here, I have talked about our biggest problem is letting our enemies use the "burned babies" approach to world opinion.
