Hi Denis,

Good to have you back on this thread. FYI, I am not privy of any confidential information pertaining to the terms of the deal signed by Graphon and Citrix. However, let me refer to an instructive piece of analysis disclosed in the latest issue of Client Server.

"it is the second time GraphOn has managed to collect royalties on the patent. NCD bit last October. At the time, Graphon CEO Walter Keller said the pricing norm was 4%-5% of the sales of the product piece. The US patent 5,831,609 and called "Method and System for Dynamic Translation between Different Graphical User Interface Systems" is supposed to touch on all X windows systems (CSN 326)

The article goes on explaining the link between Graphon/Citrix settlement and Insignia's own legal procedure to collect money for the sale of NTrigue ($17.7 million to Citrix). Apparently, $5 million are left in escrow for Insignia. So we should expect another settlement between Insignia and Graphon for some of that money.

In summary, Tony Baines, Graphon's VP of corporate marketing refers to the terms between Citrix and Graphon as "beneficial", i.e the amount of money paid by Citrix to Graphon. let's wait for the Insignia part.

I trust this clarifies the issue somehow.

Over to You.
