I agree with you last paragraph. After the election, I really think that is exactly what our troops should be relegated to doing. At the end of the day, that is the only way to get the Iraqis to stand on their own feet.

Back to my analogy. I would support my kids through college, but then the cold shower comes. They will have to stand on their own feet in a place of their own.
