interesting perspective from The Privateer this weekend:

"The Privateer has stated in recent issues that capital preservation should be one’s first concern. Now, it
should be one’s ONLY concern. There are no “safe” stocks, not even Gold stocks. If there is a “spike” in
the U.S., the one class of equities that will NOT be supported are Gold stocks. In these circumstances,
invest ONLY if you are prepared to lose the vast majority of the capital placed if you are wrong."
