well joe, the problem is not the resettle program. If you know the history of China, the problem is the river. The river has killed so many people in hundreds of years. And when flood happens, the raging water from 2 Everest-type of mountains comes down at high speed. You cannot find anything like it in other parts of the world. The river is also too narrow for any cruiser to pass thru. The govt wants to widen it and raise the water level. While I feel bad for the folks who have to be relocated, there's no other solution. If the population grows there, the problem could be worst. I recently rented a HK video who shows celebrities going back to the river. The video shows the farmers earn extra money steering wooden boats for tourists. At some sections of the river, they have to use manpower to go upstream, because if they use motor boat, the speed of the water could jam the motor. Regarding the relocation of the folks, the video also shows the govt has already built a more modernized buildings in the nearby highland area. So the folks can settle there, rather than living in old brick houses. Just don't exaggerate the issue.
How will we defeat the aliens without more people to fight them???
Are we going to fight the aliens like the movie Starship Troopers ? Maybe modernized weapons could do the job. But, I doubt we have a chance to fight against them. Maybe they are here to control our minds ..... who knows ? Just don't exaggerate the issue like the cults do.
