If you are correct, then "an absence of the same" is not feasible and we are doomed. We are all human, which may amount to the same thing. Men need values & beliefs to function. Remove God, and the beliefs will be godless but will still be beliefs and function in the place of a religion. Claiming that you have found the happy spot where you can escape from this aspect of the human condition is like the man who claims that he speaks without an accent. It's only true if he never leaves home or is self-centered enough to believe that only other people have accents.
