I completely agree with your post. What I was disputing was the
implication that smaller players provided more advanced technology,
i.e. deep submicron technology. Obviously, the whole process must be
at the same technology level and most of the equipment used in the
process is supplied by larger vendors.

Better product is a different story and you told it well.
